I want to talk about compassion. A Japanese artist by the name of Dr. Masaru Emoto performed studies on water and concluded that water molecules are affected by human consciousness. Saying positive words creates the molecular structure of the water to form beautiful symmetrical shapes. But whenever negativity is introduced the shapes were less than beautiful.
I once read that the heart is deceitful. How can the one thing that never stops giving life be deceitful? The heart never stops working from the day you enter this world to the day you leave. Have you ever thought about the significance of your heart? What do I mean by that?
Love yourself first and the rest will follow. Why do we practice loving yourself? And what does it have to do with Meditation? Well, let me share something with you. There are some people who love the material things in life more than anything else in this world.
Om is a sacred sound. Or mantra used in the practice of meditation thought to be the “sound” of the universe; almost like a low-level hum of the world. I say Om because the monk, who was my spiritual teacher and also taught me how to meditate, told me to use it.
