I want to talk about compassion. A Japanese artist by the name of Dr. Masaru Emoto performed studies on water and concluded that water molecules are affected by human consciousness. Saying positive words creates the molecular structure of the water to form beautiful symmetrical shapes. But whenever negativity is introduced the shapes were less than beautiful.
Science has taught us that our bodies are more than 75% water; therefore, when we emit or express negative or positive energy in the form of language we are literally affecting our physical body. Our physical body is being transformed with every thought and energy that we interact with, so we are constantly being affected by the energy around us.
When we are spreading positivity and love, that positive energy and positivity has an effect on our bodies and our environment as well. So I encourage you to bring your focus back to those two words, love and gratitude.
With this understanding and belief, it would behoove us to flow through the world as if life is a long Tai Chi movement. We can begin to surmise that our body is being constantly transformed by our mood.
With that, I am sure you can imagine that the regular introduction of negative energy into our environment over time can be harmful to our overall health.
With this in mind, I want you to become more aware of your surroundings. I want to share with you an exercise that I practice. It’s giving thanks to a tree. Yes, a tree! When you thank a tree, you develop an attitude of gratitude and express thankfulness for the symbiotic relationship between you and this tree. We know that trees give us oxygen and in return, we give it carbon dioxide.
Think of how many other intertwined relationships we have with ourselves and our environment? So, I challenge you to continue to express love and gratitude as you are emitting a high level of compassion and energy to the world around us.
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.” ― Dalai Lama XIV
